Ticket Resale Scam
Fake or duplicate tickets sold through messages and social posts.
How it appears in scam messages
A ticket resale scam sells concert, sport, or travel tickets that are fake, already used, or never sent — usually through social posts, marketplace listings, or direct messages. Payment is pushed off-platform by bank transfer or 'friends and family', which removes buyer protection. Sold-out, in-demand events are the most targeted.
Example only - do not act on it
Example only: Got two tickets for tonight, sold out everywhere — pay by bank transfer and I'll send the files.
Why it matters
Payment outside official platforms offers no protection.
